Alua joined Chsherbinin Litigation in 2017, as a litigation assistant. She is passionate about employment, human rights and immigration issues, because these areas have a very human component that is often absent in other type of litigation.

Throughout her tenure at the firm, Alua has been recognized by clients, mediators, lawyers and opposing counsel as a reliable, kind and efficient professional. Her practical knowledge of civil procedure in both the Ontario Superior Court and the Federal Court of Canada can rival that of a seasoned lawyer. Alua routinely assists Mr. Nikolay Chsherbinin in contentious and non-contentious matters before these courts, and participates in discoveries, mediations and pre-trials.

Alua’s “bedside manner” in which she interacts with staff from various courts and tribunals grants her access to information that may not be available to others. Her cultural consciousness and natural perceptiveness instantly earn her a higher level of access to perspective and current clients’ needs and wants.

Alua is fluent in English and conversant in Russian. In her spare time, she enjoys a long list of diverse hobbies, such as painting, cycling, cooking, reading and travelling.
